3 Easy Steps To Using Your Design Kit
Garden Room Design Kit Parts List
How to Design Your Garden Room With Our Design Kit
Build your floor, place a FLOOR-XXXS-END at either side.
Add your walls and openings (windows and doors).
Place a WALL-S-END in each corner.
When placing openings, make sure there is at least one wall block between each opening
Finish with your roof. The same rule applies for skylight openings, avoid placing two side by side.
If building a flat roof, use ROOF-ENDS at both ends.
For pitched roofs, construct gables using WALL-G42 parts at both ends.
About Your Garden Room Design Kit
Your kit contains our standard parts manufactured using the WikiHouse design system. These parts are designed to minimise waste and manufacture in the most efficient and cost effective way possible. If you want a more bespoke design, this can still be achieved with modifications to standard blocks.
Garden Room Dimensions
The system works on a 600mm grid. The length of your garden room can be calculated like so:
WALL-END = 900mm
WALL-S = 600mm
Length of Garden Room = 2(WALL-END) + x(WALL-S)
For example, if using 6 wall blocks your garden room would be 4500mm long, or 4.5m. (3.6m WALL-S + .9m WALL-END)
The standard span of FLOOR-XXXS is 3m. We have different standard spans available up to 4.7m.
A Note About Doors, Windows & Skylights
The structural strength of your garden room relies on avoiding two openings side by side. Aim to have at least one WALL-S between any opening. However if you require wider openings or want side by side openings, these can be custom manufactured or reinforcement added to ensure structural integrity.
